Share with your child that no matter how limited they feel by their age or abilities, they can do amazing things through faith and for the glory of God. If they do not understand what glory means, explain that bringing glory to God means we point others to him and show through our own lives that he is a powerful God.
Teach them morals and ethics. Tell them about religion from a dispassionate viewpoint. And then let them take it from there. Let them know they are free to choose what they want to believe, and encourage them to change their minds as often as they like.
Tell the child that Jesus is God's son, and that God sent him to Earth to teach everyone how to follow God's laws and be good people. Tell the 3 year old that Jesus was a friendly man who came to be our savior because he loves all people, even her.

Talk about how Jesus has answered your prayers. Talk about how you know God has forgiven your sin because Jesus died on the cross in your place.
