God's people ability to conquer the world, is not by outward might, but by inward strength received from above. Heaven is not by your righteousness or power to inherit it. It is only by the grace of God in Christ which is the undeserved acceptance and love receives from God.
Why did Matthew use the term Kingdom of Heaven rather than kingdom of God in his gospel?
The gospels of Luke and Mark tend to prefer the term "kingdom of God". Matthew's use of the word "heaven" is often seen as a reflection of the sensibilities of the Jewish audience this gospel was directed to, and thus tried to avoid the word "God." Most scholars feel the two phrases are theologically identical.
The kingdom of God, Jesus replied, is not something people will be able to see and point to. Then came these striking words: “Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:21) With these words, Jesus gave voice to a teaching that is universal and timeless.
